Our children are the subjects of many influences in this world, not all of which are positive. In a society where our youth is heavily influenced by social media, celebrities and constant access to the internet, our youth are always feeling pressure from their peers to fit in. In order to strike a healthy balance in our lives, we must build an inner resilience, forge a character that is strong and capable of saying “no” to what does not serve us, while having the courage to say “yes” to what really matters.

With over 25 years of coaching experience, Inner Fire Martial Arts instructors provide premium martial arts training for children of all ages. We believe in giving kids a fun-filled place to come after school that empowers them with confidence, discipline and happiness. Inner Fire offers an after school karate program that is fun, positive, and safe. Classes are taught by black-belt instructors and include a new life skills lesson every month.
Stay Active & Fit
Our after school martial arts program engages children in fun games like dodgeball, obstacle courses and LOTS of physical activity. Martial arts classes are held daily, providing them with lots of practice to grow stronger in their art while developing inner strength 🔥 inner fire. Instructors support students by helping them with their homework, so that when parents take them home they are ready for quality family time.
Fully Licensed Daycare
We are a fully licensed and accredited child care center managed by professionals. In our after school karate program, students are taught a self-defense and achievement-based curriculum working toward earning their belts by learning and becoming proficient at the skills they are taught. Our goal is to instill a lifelong love of a healthy lifestyle in our children. All-day students are required to bring a lunch and two snacks everyday.

No prior experience necessary. Set the stage for future success by enrolling your kids in our after school karate program. Encouraging self-discipline, respect and courage, we bring the virtues of martial arts to daily life and develop strong, confident children.
Teen Martial Arts Program
(Ages 12 & 13)
Advance skills with higher techniques by training our unique blend of martial arts. We encourage students to challenge themselves, set goals and become stronger, more balanced individuals. Advanced students even help train and develop coaching skills.
After School Karate Program Frequently Asked Questions
When Does After School Karate Start?
Inner Fire Karate After School Program coincides with the Pearland ISD academic school year and runs Monday-Friday through the start of the fall semester school year. The hours are 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Children are picked up in vans from Pearland ISD schools or free to drop in for just a few hours. Karate lessons are generally early in the afternoon.
What Should My Child Bring to After School Karate?
Students are required to bring a mask and a refillable water bottle. They will leave their equipment bag with a uniform, belt, and training equipment at the karate school so that's it's there for them every day. Parents may take uniforms home to wash at their convenience. Karate uniform, belt, and Inner Fire gym bags are included in the enrollment fee.
Does My Child Need Martial Arts Experience?
Absolutely not! We accept students at all levels with no experience necessary. Students train based on the belt level and will fit right in with their peers. We teach "might for right" and focus on self-defense and mastering skills.
What is After School Karate Program Pricing?
